Greetings Nucklup, first and foremost thank you for sitting down with TheHipHopCloud for this Inside The Cloud interview. Since it’s our first interview together let’s take it back to your debut in the music industry and how you got here.

Where did you originate from, and how did you get your name Nucklup?

Nucklup: Hey, thanks for having me here. I am from India mumbai. I remember my friend and I back in college used to skip classes and make beats as he bought new krks monitors, we were really into making beats. We started looking for producer names to register ourselves on beatstars . We were sitting right under his building and discussing the possible names and he gave himself the name oxy as it’s referred to a medicine. He suggested my name as knuckles because according to him my beats were as hard as it’s been hit by your “knuckles” so I broke it down and came up as nucklup.

How long have you been making music & what have been your inspirations coming up?

Nucklup: I initially started making beats on this mobile application when I was 13 and day by day got many recommendations and downloaded fl studio. I made my first ever beat in that. Later I switched to logic so yes it’s been a nice journey of switching softwares and coming in new. My inspiration doesn’t come along from an artist, it comes along with life experiences and emotions filled with it.

If you could work with anybody in the music industry who would you like to produce for?

Nucklup: 21 savage , metro boomin, Pyrex whippa, jaden

You released a new album called GINXIETY! Tell us everything about it and how it came about!

Nucklup: Solve me and I had a jam session in my house and came out of a track named runaway. He was going through his archives song and picked runaway. He was already done with 70% of production by himself and got me added drums to it. That has a lot of emotions involved in it and gave me an idea to make ginxiety. I like gin it’s my poison and have delt with anxiety issues too. The album was just an expression of my bottled up emotions which needed to explode and turned out a lot of people in general deal with the same stress and issues that’s how it got connected with the audience.

How do you deal with the hate and envy?

Nucklup: I just step in and remind myself where I came from and express my emotions in the music, hate helps me to push even more so I’d give a huge credit to the people who hate me too.

If you had any advice to give to an upcoming producer, what would it be?

Nucklup: Just keep grinding, man. I don’t know anyone’s religion, but just stay faithful. Just stay consistent. Don’t get distracted by the other shit. There’s just so much that can consume you. As far as relationships, sports, streets, anything. A lot of people are programmed to think, “Oh, I want to do this, but I also want this.” It’s like they want everything. You want your cake and you want to eat it, too. Even though I guess you’re supposed to eat cake, but I never really get that saying.

Even in college , when I started making beats, I gave up all that social life, all those parties, all those tailgates, and those events I missed out on. I might not have all those high school memories but I have enough. Senior year, I started making a lot more memories just to have them, but that’s just something you gotta give up if you really want this.

Are you working on any upcoming project we should know about?

Nucklup: I’m soon dropping a single named phones up with yinte and lil woodie wood. I might come up with an ep but it’s not yet fixed.

Nucklup! Thank you again for taking the time to do this interview with us for Inside The Cloud with TheHipHopCloud! Is there anything else you would like to let the people and fans know before leaving us?

Nucklup: keep steaming my music and stay tuned on the hiphopcloud. Peace
